Update 1 augustus:
After the approval of the Municipal Council at the end of June, we are now busy with the preparations for the construction of the Market Pavilion. We have also looked together with the board of the Weekly Market and the Municipality at the most suitable place on the market where the pavilion can be placed. We have found three places that meet the two most important criteria: the pavilion must be in a central and easily accessible place and it must not hinder the activities of the weekly market. We will now make a decision together about the final location and will let you know soon!

Would you like to be present as a host or hostess in the Market Pavilion? We are working on a well-filled activities program and are still looking for volunteers who would like to take on this role for a few days a year (but more is also possible!). Even now that the people have spoken, the arrival of the much-discussed meeting place in the heart of Valkenswaard is still not certain.

A place for young and old, without consumption obligations, with wifi and preferably not too hip... this is what a new cultural meeting place - for which a large bag of money is ready in Valkenswaard - should look like.
